Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

If Heritage Christian was riding high fresh off their 78-50 takedown of Union Colony Prep last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Heritage Christian Eagles were dealt an 81-36 loss at the hands of the Resurrection Christian Cougars on Thursday. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Heritage Christian had strong showings from Alec Lundy, who posted 14 points and five boards, and Levi Hermsen, who scored 14 points. Hermsen has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Blake Cox, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 12 points and six boards.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Resurrection Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
