Softball Recap: Wahoo Comes Up Short

Wahoo lost against Waverly back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-4.

Wahoo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karryn Eddie, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Makayla Kenning also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Wahoo's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Waverly, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Wahoo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Crete on the 6th. As for Waverly, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-2 victory against Ashland-Greenwood on the 6th.
