Softball Recap: Athens Christian Has No Trouble Against Tallulah Falls

Athens Christian never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tallulah Falls Indians as they made off with a 15-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Addisyn Wilcox looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Athens Christian got a massive performance out of Paisley Perry, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Perry a new career-high. Riley Ossick also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Athens Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Athens Christian's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Tallulah Falls, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Athens Christian will head out to challenge Loganville Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Tallulah Falls, they will be playing at home against Cedar Shoals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
