Baseball Game Preview: Redan Raiders vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins

The Redan Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Fellowship Christian Paladins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Redan managed to slip by Druid Hills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders lost 8-1 to the Red Devils on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since March 22nd.

Meanwhile, Fellowship Christian waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Wolverines.

Will Bracken tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jake Brannon was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Trummie Patrick, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Fellowship Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Redan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-8.

Redan was able to grind out a solid victory over Fellowship Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 5-2. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Paladins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
