Recap: Shade Panthers vs. Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams
This season hasn't been kind to the Shade Panthers, who are still winless after their 16th matchup. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turkeyfoot Valley Area. Shade was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area found their leader in underclassman Kiley Mitchell, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleigha Younkin, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Shade's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shade will take on the Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Windber is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, they will be playing at home against the Maples at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
