Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Kennedy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Marshall Barristers who were credited with the victory on Wednesday. The Marshall Barristers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Kennedy Cougars' two. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Stephanie Abundez, who's now up to five this season.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Kennedy nor Marshall have any future games scheduled.
