Softball Recap: Skyline Falcons vs. Thornton Trojans
Skyline extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 27 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-11. They came up short against the Thornton Trojans, falling 21-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 17-0 loss last Wednesday.
As for Thornton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games.
For Thornton's part, Mya Grady made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Grady has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
