Soccer Game Preview: Robert F. Kennedy Community vs. Bernstein

The Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats will face off against the Bernstein Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Robert F. Kennedy Community is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Contreras on Friday as Robert F. Kennedy Community made off with a 7-2 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Contreras from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Ashley Murillo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Bernstein gave up the first goal last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged Roybal out 4-3. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Dragons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 772nd, while the Titans are ranked 294th).

Bernstein is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four contests. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-1.
