Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Rancho Verde Mustangs, falling 58-22. The Bison were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-8.

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Kelli Harris-Wellman, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Rancho Verde, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

Liberty has already played their next contest, a 34-27 victory against Orange Vista on the 25th. As for Rancho Verde, they will head out on the road to square off against Hemet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hemet will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Rancho Verde surely won't give up without a fight.
