There's no place like home for Lake Norman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hough Huskies on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since August 25th.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lake Norman got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 25-20, 19-25, 15-10.
Natasha Price paced Lake Norman's offense, picking up 14 kills. Price got some help from Alayna Lefebvre and her 19 assists. Ariana Rock controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Lake Norman's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-16. As for Hough, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
