Softball Recap: Carver Comes Up Short

Carver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Kendrick Cherokees, falling 23-17. Even if the Tigers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kendrick, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Carver will head out to challenge Sumter County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.81 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kendrick, they will face off against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Jackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.44 runs per game on average), something the Cherokees will no doubt try to take advantage of.
