Soccer Game Preview: Orange Lutheran vs. Mater Dei

Orange Lutheran hasn't had much luck against Mater Dei recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Orange Lutheran Lancers will venture away from home to square off against the Mater Dei Monarchs. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Orange Lutheran after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Santa Margarita by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Mater Dei's offense. They fell just short of JSerra Catholic by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Orange Lutheran is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3-1. As for Mater Dei, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 7-3-4.

Orange Lutheran suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Mater Dei in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Orange Lutheran avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
