Recap: Cypress Centurions vs. Valencia Tigers
The Cypress Centurions won the last time they faced the Valencia Tigers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Cypress walked away with a 51-44 victory over Valencia.
Cypress was led to victory by Isabella Caceres and Sara Shigekawa. Caceres scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six assists, while Shigekawa scored 15 points. Sarina Ulep Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring three points along with three steals.
Cypress' win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Valencia, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Cypress will head out on the road to face off against Kennedy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Valencia, they will be playing at home against Crean Lutheran at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Crean Lutheran presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Valencia in California (Crean Lutheran is ranked 150th, while Valencia is ranked 344th).
