Basketball Recap: Live Oak Snags 13th Win in Last 15 Games

Live Oak had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 victory over the Greenfield Bruins on Friday. The Acorns pushed the score to 41-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bruins cut but never quite recovered from.

Kat Clement was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rian Henderson, who went 6-for-11 on her way to 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Live Oak is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Greenfield and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

Live Oak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-20 win against Aptos on the 22nd. Greenfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
