Softball Recap: Tanque Verde Comes Up Short

Tanque Verde saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 6-3 to the Joseph City Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by exactly three runs.

Mikaela Jackson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Julia Pratt, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Tanque Verde's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Joseph City, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Tanque Verde wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-0 victory against Payson on the 21st. As for Joseph City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-9 win against Benson on the 22nd.
