            Basketball Recap: Big Valley Christian Lions vs. Riverbank Bruins        
        
		
        
        
            Big Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They were beaten by the Riverbank Bruins 82-11. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 1311th, while the Bruins are ranked 181st).
 Kailey Rivera was Big Valley Christian's leading scorer, having posted seven points.  Rivera also led the team in rebounds with 12.
 Riverbank was led to victory by  Leilani Olanolan and  Taylor Macias.  Olanolan  went 9 for 13  on her way to 21  points in addition to eight  steals and six  assists, while  Macias  went 10 of 17  en route to 23 points and six  steals. Olanolan is  crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least three every time she's  taken the court this season.  Alexis Felix was another key player,  going 5 for 9  en route to 10  points along with six  rebounds and four  steals.
Big Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Riverbank, their win was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 17-3.
 Big Valley Christian has  already played their next  matchup (against Summerville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Riverbank has already played their next contest,  a  58-55  victory against Bret Harte on the 28th.
