Softball Recap: Ord Comes Up Short

Ord lost against St. Paul back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chanticleers lost 9-1 to the Wildcats. The Chanticleers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ord saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Kokes, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Ord's loss dropped their record down to 6-24. As for St. Paul, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.

Coming up, Ord will take on Grand Island Central Catholic in a tournament on Friday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.86 runs per game on average), something the Chanticleers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Paul, they will be taking part in a tournament against Central City at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bison have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
