Millard North faced Gretna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Dragons. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Lily Johnson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Jarose, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Millard North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .414 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Millard North's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.
