Soccer Recap: Carlsbad Wins Going Away Against Sage Creek

After failing to score in their last match, Carlsbad made sure to put some goals up on the board against Sage Creek on Friday. Everything went their way against the Sage Creek Bobcats as they made off with a 4-1 win. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Bobcats are ranked 694th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carlsbad now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Sage Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Carlsbad will be home for the holidays to greet Temecula Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Sage Creek, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Poway at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
