League recap: Miller dominating on the mound for Cross Creek

3B-AAAA league recap: 4/3/13

Cross Creek's Blake Miller was the best pitcher in 3B-AAAA this week. He struck out nine batters this week.

The Razorbacks outpaced the rest of the league this week, as their three total wins led the league. Cross Creek beat Aquinas 7-3 and Swainsboro 16-4.

Hephzibah boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The Razorbacks, the league's stolen base leader this season with 24, added to their lead in that category with 13 more steals over the past week.

There were three hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Jesse Carroll, who collected eight hits in 12 at bats for a .667 average.



Cross Creek's Jesse Carroll finished his week with eight hits, the best slugger in the league. His 14 hits for the year are sixth in the league, and he boasts a .368 batting average.

Matthew Avret led the Razorbacks to a win on March 26, as he notched eight strikeouts to beat the Rebels, 8-1. Over seven innings of work, he gave up four hits and one run.
