Recap: Corry Beavers vs. Franklin Knights
The Corry Beavers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 32-19 to Franklin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Corry has scored all season.
Katie Boal was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds for Franklin. Boal is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kirsten Hicks was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Corry's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.4 points per game. As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Corry will head out on the road to square off against Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin, they will be playing at home against Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Warren comes in on seven and Franklin on three.
