Game recap

WASECA, Minn. - Waseca (Minn.) beat St. Peter (Minn.) 48-24 on the strength of a superb game by dual threat quarterback Thomas O'Neil, who threw two touchdown passes while running for two more.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Dylan Hermanstorfer in the second quarter, the Bluejays led 22-18 at the half.

Waseca grew its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a two-point conversion.

The Bluejays got revenge for last year's 33-28 loss to the Saints with the victory.

The loss comes after St. Peter defeated New Ulm 46-12 last week. The loss ended St. Peter's two-game winning streak. The win brought Waseca's winning streak to three games.

Waseca (3-0) will play a South Central game against Fairmont next week, while St. Peter (2-1) will take on St. James also in a South Central game.
