Conestoga Christian extends road losing streak to eight

Recap: Conestoga Christian Cougars vs. Christian School of York

This season hasn't been kind to the Conestoga Christian Cougars, who are still winless after their tenth game. They received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 44-28 to Christian School of York. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Conestoga Christian in their matchups with Christian School of York: they've now lost five in a row.

Christian School of York's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Bell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Bell is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cally Carpenter, who scored ten points along with four steals.

Conestoga Christian bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Christian School of York, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conestoga Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Octorara Area at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Octorara Area is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Christian School of York, they will head out on the road to take on Dayspring Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
