Football Game Preview: Camden County Wildcats vs. Tift County Blue Devils + How To Watch

The Camden County Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Tift County Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Camden County and five for Tift County.

On Friday, Camden County ended up a good deal behind Colquitt County and lost 45-28.

William Jackson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 217 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Camden County also got a significant boost from Julian Dailey, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Tift County and Valdosta had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Blue Devils fell 48-35 to the Wildcats on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 16th).

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Kamari Holloman and Marquis Fennell. Fennell had a great game and gained 139 total yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Holloman was balling out in the loss, rushing for 150 yards and three touchdowns.

Tift County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Camden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Camden County was able to grind out a solid win over Tift County when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 38-28. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Blue Devils' Damieon Dixon, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 230 yards while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Wildcats still be able to contain Dixon? There's only one way to find out.
