After flying high against Redlands Adventist Academy last Monday, Cornerstone Christian came back down to earth. The Cornerstone Christian Crusaders fell just short of the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Aleena Gutierrez and Sonoma Miller scored both of Cornerstone Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 38 goals.

Cornerstone Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3-2. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, the win got them back to even at 7-7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian will head out to square off against Public Safety Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cornerstone Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Temecula Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
