Elkton put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the North East Indians, posting  a  59-0 win. Given the Golden Elks' advantage  in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Indians are ranked 201st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Elkton's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Owen McBride, who threw for 155 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. McBride is  crushing it when it comes to  passing touchdowns: he's   passed for at least three every time he's  taken the field this season.  Jamir Crawford helped  McBride out on the ground, rushing for 30 yards and one  score, while also catching one  TD.
 Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 19 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Damyen Jones, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from  Zyaire Tate.
 Elkton's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  7.5 times.  Shawn Dickerson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Elkton's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for North East,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-4.
 Looking ahead, Elkton will square off against Bohemia Manor at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for North East, they will face off against North Harford at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.2  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
