Softball Recap: Metter Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Metter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Pierce County Bears, falling 11-3.

Metter's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Pierce County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metter will venture away from home to challenge Toombs County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pierce County, they will head out to square off against Appling County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
