Basketball Recap: Penn Hills Comes Up Short

Penn Hills lost against Franklin Regional back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Penn Hills Indians came up short against the Franklin Regional Panthers, falling 47-26. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Panthers are ranked 103rd).

Penn Hills' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Franklin Regional, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Penn Hills has already played their next match (against Shaler Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Franklin Regional won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Gateway at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Regional is facing Gateway at the right time seeing as Gateway is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
