Contra Costa Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Holy Names Monarchs by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Contra Costa Christian were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Holy Names apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The win got Holy Names back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Contra Costa Christian and Holy Names will both be playing California Crosspoint the next time they take the pitch. Holy Names will head out to face California Crosspoint at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Contra Costa Christian will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on April 11.
