Volleyball Game Preview: Rock Academy Warriors vs. Del Lago Academy Firebirds

Rock Academy is 2-8 against Del Lago Academy since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Rock Academy made easy work of St. Joseph Academy and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

While Rock Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Del Lago Academy earned a 2-0 win over St. Joseph Academy on Saturday.

Rock Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Del Lago Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-8-1.

Rock Academy beat Del Lago Academy 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Firebirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
