Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Taylor County Vikings. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Taylor County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Dodge County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor County knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Northside likes a good challenge.
