Softball Recap: Alamosa's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Alamosa fell victim to Lamar and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mean Moose have suffered since August 26th.

Alamosa handed starting duties to Olivia Castillo, who gave a strong showing despite the result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits.

Alamosa's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Lamar, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Alamosa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-2 win against Gunnison on the 23rd. As for Lamar, they have also already played their next game, an 11-3 victory against Rocky Ford on the 23rd.
