There's no place like home for Lamar, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Alamosa Mean Moose on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-1 two weeks ago.

Carlin Weber made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Weber wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alexus Campbell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Lamar now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Alamosa, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

Lamar has already played their next game, an 11-3 victory against Rocky Ford on the 23rd. As for Alamosa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-2 win against Gunnison on the 23rd.
