Baseball Recap: Atkinson County Takes a Loss

Atkinson County fell victim to Lanier County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Rebels just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Atkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Lanier County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Atkinson County is set to challenge their familiar foe Charlton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lanier County will take on rival Turner County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
