Recap: Glendale Vikings vs. Juniata Valley Hornets
The Glendale Vikings suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Monday. Their tough 50-29 defeat to Juniata Valley might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Glendale has suffered against Juniata Valley since January 23, 2020.
Juniata Valley found their leader in underclassman Anna Taylor, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Taylor has scored at least a third of Juniata Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Hopsicker, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Juniata Valley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Glendale will head out on the road to square off against Windber at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Juniata Valley, they will be playing at home against Northern Bedford County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
