Basketball Game Preview: Harnett Central Trojans vs. Triton Hawks

Harnett Central hasn't had much luck against Triton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Harnett Central Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Triton Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Harnett Central is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Pine Forest and fell 47-20. While losing is never fun, Harnett Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while Pine Forest is ranked 203rd).

Meanwhile, Triton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against Overhills, falling 59-31.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Triton's Ja'Niah Smith, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.
