Baseball Game Preview: Buford Wolves vs. Marist War Eagles

The Buford Wolves will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Marist War Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Buford will be strutting in after a win while Marist will be coming in after a loss.

Buford is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Parkview. The Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers on Saturday, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since March 24, 2025.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Marist's offense. They came up short against Lambert on Friday, falling 9-0.

Buford might still be hurting after the 12-5 defeat they got from Marist in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
