Soccer Recap: Bakersfield Comes Up Short

Bakersfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Independence Falcons. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Drillers it sure didn't stay that way.

Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Independence, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8-1 record this season.

Bakersfield and Independence's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Bakersfield will face off against Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a squad that's only allowed 0.48 goals per game. Similarly, Independence and Liberty (who has only given up 0.29 goals per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
