Soccer Recap: Olympian Comes Up Short

Olympian's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Eastlake Titans, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Titans are ranked 34th).

Olympian's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8-1. As for Eastlake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympian will face off against Hilltop at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hilltop will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Olympian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastlake, they will challenge Mater Dei Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastlake is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
