Soccer Game Preview: Amador vs. Rosemont

The Amador Buffaloes will venture away from home to face off against the Rosemont Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Amador's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Amador fell victim to Liberty Ranch and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 12-0 to the Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1031st, while the Hawks are ranked 435th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rosemont, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let El Dorado onto the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday.

Rosemont is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight games. As for Amador, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-2.

Amador suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Rosemont in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Amador avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
