Basketball Recap: Indio Comes Up Short

Indio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 58-16 loss at the hands of the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs. While losing is never fun, the Rajahs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1188th, while the Mighty Arabs are ranked 515th).

Paulina Lucero had an outrageously good game for Coachella Valley as she went 7 of 17 on her way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Lucero a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jessica Jordan, who posted five points and seven steals.

Indio's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Coachella Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-6.

As of now, neither Indio nor Coachella Valley have any future games scheduled.
