Baseball Recap: M.L. King Comes Up Short

M.L. King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Forest Park Panthers. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

M.L. King saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Scott, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Scott also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another was Jordan Ford, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

M.L. King's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Forest Park, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

While M.L. King had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
