Softball Recap: Centura Wins Going Away Against Polk County

After losing to Polk County the last time they met, Centura decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Centurions blew past the Slammers 17-8 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Centurions, who have now won three matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Centura and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Polk County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Centura has already played their next contest, a 9-3 win against Pierce on the 6th. As for Polk County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-5 defeat against Boone Central on the 6th.
