Basketball Recap: Penns Valley Area Falls Despite Big Games from Sydnie Dalton and Paige Johnson

After flying high against Chestnut Ridge last Friday, Penns Valley Area came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers on Wednesday, falling 68-47. The Rams have struggled against the Golden Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Penns Valley Area's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Paige Johnson, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 14 points and five boards, and Sydnie Dalton, who went 6-for-8 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Johnson, who posted seven points.

Penns Valley Area's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Hollidaysburg, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
