Recap: Rubidoux Falcons vs. San Bernardino Cardinals
The Rubidoux Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by San Bernardino 47-17. Rubidoux has not had much luck with San Bernardino recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
San Bernardino's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rihanna Scott, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Scott continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jasmine Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring two points along with four steals.
Rubidoux's loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-14. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.6 points per game. As for San Bernardino, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Rubidoux will head out on the road to face off against Indian Springs at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Indian Springs' defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so Rubidoux's offense will have their work cut out for Rubidoux. As for San Bernardino, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Miller at 6:30 p.m. Miller is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
