Soccer Game Preview: San Dimas vs. Monrovia

The San Dimas Saints will head out to challenge the Monrovia Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Dimas' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for San Dimas' offense. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Santiago an easy 7-0 win. While losing is never fun, San Dimas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 641st, while Santiago are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Monrovia's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Mayfield 2-1.

Alex Orozco was the driving force of Monrovia's attack as she scored both of Monrovia's goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

San Dimas' loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Monrovia, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
