After flying high against Northview on Monday, Providence Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Storm lost 10-2 to the Elbert County Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Storm's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Providence Christian Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Perry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Providence Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Elbert County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Providence Christian Academy will face off against rival Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Elbert County is set to take on their familiar foe Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 3, the Leopards 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
