Ligonier Valley scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 66-57 to the Derry Trojans. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Ligonier Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydnee Foust, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 boards. What's more, Foust also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Jada Pope was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Ligonier Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Ligonier Valley is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12. As for Derry, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

Ligonier Valley has already played their next contest, a 68-24 defeat against Greensburg Central Catholic on the 30th. As for Derry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-24 loss against Knoch on the 30th.
