Davenport entered their tilt with Union City on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 6-4. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Union City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Davenport will be playing at home against Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Union City, they will face off against Okarche at 4:30 p.m. on October 9. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
