Basketball Recap: Scott's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Scott was the 51-46 winner over Lincoln County when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Skyhawks fell 67-56 to the Panthers on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Skyhawks' undefeated start to the season.

Lincoln County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Halli Byrd out in front who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Rian Johnson, who had 18 points and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Scott fell to 2-1. As for Lincoln County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Scott didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-34 defeat against Roane County on the 20th. As for Lincoln County, they will venture away from home to take on Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
